The story so far
Our founder Jo Watkins has been teaching yoga since 2017 and practising it for over half of her life. Jo believes in the power of embracing all of the different aspects of yoga, based on Patanjali’s ‘The Eight Limbs of Yoga’, to counteract the stresses and strains of modern day society. In particular that practising the various modalities of yoga within community and group settings, is deeply healing.

Jo holds a deep interest in the trauma field and how yoga can help promote and maintain brain health, manage the nervous system and promote better all round physical and mental health. It has been her experience that yoga can be particularly useful in managing and improving mental health and other brain related conditions such as anxiety, depression, PTSD, CPTSD, system-wide inflammation, aches, pains, fatigue and other symptoms observed with trauma. Also she believes yoga is excellent for any musculo-skeletal issues resulting from injury or psychosomatic flare ups/ tension.

Jo has taught children above the age of 12, adults of all ages and adults with disabilities.
